The tail of your Z900 2025-26, short and clean in a single purchase. 🔧
The tail of the new Z900 loses all its edge with the stock plate holder hanging down and the passenger footpeg sticking out. This kit brings together the two parts that change the rear the most: the CNC aluminium short tail tidy, which tucks the plate up against the tail and reuses the original indicators, and the racing exhaust bracket, which replaces the passenger footpeg and holds the exhaust with a clean plate bearing the Z900 logo. Photos are from Z900 Build community bikes with the parts fitted.

Who it's for
For Kawasaki Z900 2025 and 2026. The tail tidy is specific to this generation and won't fit earlier ones; the exhaust bracket fits every Z900 since 2017. If you ride a Z900 2017-2024, the same kit with its own tail tidy is the Clean Tail Kit (2017-24).
Fitting
About 45 minutes in total with an Allen key and a screwdriver. Recommended order:
- Short tail tidy (30 min): remove the original, route the indicator and plate-light wiring and bolt the new one to the tail.
- Exhaust bracket (15 min): remove the passenger footpeg on the exhaust side, fit the plate with the exhaust held at its new mount and tighten.
Inspection and legality
Neither part is type-approved and we won't tell you otherwise. The tail tidy changes the plate position: keep the original and refit it for your roadworthiness inspection, it takes 30 minutes. The exhaust bracket replaces the passenger footpeg, so if you carry a passenger keep the original and put it back when needed. Better to know before you buy than to get a surprise at the test centre.
